History

Here’s a short story about my cairn history in English!
I got interested in cairnterriers in 1994 when I bought my first cairn from Sirkka Korpi and her kennel Orjantappuran. Emmi (Orjantappuran Emmylou Harris) moved to us in August 1994 and made our life happier for over ten years. Emmi had puppies three times in 1996, 1997 and 1998. From the first group we kept Eemeli (Orjantappuran James Dean). The other puppies moved to other - nice - homes.
I had three cairnterriers already in 1996. Emmi, Bella (Orjantappuran Ida Lupino) and Eemeli. Bella was also from Sirkka Korpis kennel and we got to enjoy her company also for almost ten years.
The kennel name Porrasmäen I got in year 1999.
In 2001 I went to

Denmark

and got a female puppy Carla (Cairngården Gr8 Expectation) from Carina Jakobsen. Unfortunately Carla didn’t get to live for so long time. She was ran over by a car and died only three years old.
Then year 2006 I went and got a small female puppy from Kirkkonummi, from Anne Lindblom and her kennel Riverstone. Her name is Jenny (Riverstone Creeping Jenny). Unfortunately Jenny has some defect in her mouth and she’s been sick with a bad anaemia (IMHA), but when she got well from that, she became our lovely ”home-dog”!
In 2007 I got enthusiastic about breeding again and I went to

Sweden

and got a new female puppy, Godis (Rasken’s Refined Candy) from Elisabeth Nordstrand and Mats Lindborg and their kennel Rasken’s. And that same winter I went to Hollola and got me another puppy, Manna (Coastal Elovena) from Anne Skalin and her kennel Coastal.

The plan is to start breeding and showing again now when I have Godis and Manna.
We'll see what the future holds.
